Dundee United Await Injury Update on Ross Graham Ahead of European Clash

    By PLN5 days ago

Dundee United boss Jim Goodwin has confirmed that the club will learn more about Ross Graham’s injury early next week, as the defender awaits assessment from medical specialists.

The 24-year-old centre-back is believed to have suffered a hamstring issue, casting doubt over his availability for the start of United’s competitive campaign.

“The only downside to our pre-season so far has been Ross Graham’s injury,” Goodwin told the club’s media following a 1-1 draw with Oldham Athletic on Sunday.
“We expect to have a clearer picture early next week, once we receive feedback from the medical team and specialists.”

While Graham’s situation is a concern, Goodwin was optimistic about the rest of the squad, noting that other knocks and niggles are typical for this stage of the season.

Jort van der Sande, another player recovering from injury, is expected to return to full training within the next two weeks.

    Conference League Test Up Next

United kick off their UEFA Europa Conference League campaign this Thursday, facing UNA Strassen of Luxembourg in the second qualifying round.

Though considered clear favourites, Goodwin warned that his side won’t be taking anything for granted.

“We’re confident but respectful. European ties can always throw up surprises, and we certainly won’t be underestimating them.”

As fans await news on Graham, all eyes now turn to United’s first competitive fixture of the season — and the club’s first step in their European journey.
