Exclusive: Inter Reject Manchester United and Atalanta Bids for Francesco Pio Esposito

    By PLN6 days ago
    Francesco Pio Esposito

Inter Milan have made it clear that rising star Francesco Pio Esposito is not for sale this summer, despite receiving approaches from both Manchester United and Atalanta for the young forward.

The 20-year-old Italian striker is considered a vital part of Inter’s long-term strategy, and club sources confirm that the Nerazzurri have already rejected two formal inquiries for his services.

    Premier League Interest Turned Down

Manchester United were the first to express interest, initially making contact during the January transfer window, when Esposito was impressing on loan at Spezia in Serie B.

Despite the English club’s interest, Inter quickly dismissed the idea of selling the forward.

Atalanta Tried to Include Esposito in Lookman Talks

More recently, Atalanta attempted to include Esposito in negotiations during discussions surrounding Ademola Lookman, who has reportedly already agreed to personal terms with Inter.

However, Inter remain focused on reducing the €50 million price tag for the Nigerian international and declined to entertain the idea of parting with Esposito.

A Key Piece for Inter’s Future

Esposito has steadily risen through the ranks, making 79 appearances and scoring 22 goals during his loan spell at Spezia.

He also recently made headlines by scoring his first senior goal for Inter, finding the net in a 2-0 victory over River Plate at the Club World Cup.

Inter see Esposito as a key player in their future squad development and are committed to nurturing his talent at the club.

For now, any potential suitors will have to look elsewhere — the promising striker is firmly staying at the San Siro.
