Sevilla centre-back Loïc Badé (25) has emerged as a target for several Premier League clubs, with AFC Bournemouthand Sunderland reportedly leading the chase, according to Foot Mercato.
The French international, who played a key role in Sevilla’s 2024 UEFA Europa League triumph, is viewed as a priority signing by Bournemouth following Dean Huijsen’s departure to Real Madrid. The Cherries could also lose Illia Zabarnyi, who has attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain, further increasing their need for defensive reinforcements.
Sunderland’s Director of Football, Florent Ghisolfi, is another strong admirer of Badé. Ghisolfi previously brought him from Le Havre to RC Lens and reportedly tried to reunite with the centre-back during his short-lived tenure as Roma’s Sporting Director.
Elsewhere in the Premier League, Aston Villa have also entered the race. With Axel Disasi set to return to Chelsea, Villa are actively searching for a new centre-back. Reports indicate that Villa submitted a €26 million bid for Badé during the January transfer window, underlining their long-standing interest.
Beyond England, La Liga rivals Villarreal and Ligue 1 side Marseille are also keeping tabs on the 25-year-old. Sevilla, however, are expected to demand around €30 million for their prized defender, who is under contract until 2029.
Badé further boosted his reputation after an impressive debut for France against Germany in the UEFA Nations League third-place playoff, adding international experience to his résumé.
