Tranmere Rovers have completed the signing of Billy Blacker from Sheffield United on a season-long loan ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The 19-year-old forward, who has made two senior appearances for the Blades, now joins the League Two side in search of regular first-team football and further development.
Blacker is expected to be in contention for Tranmere’s opening fixture of the season against Colchester United on Saturday, August 2.
Tranmere manager Andy Crosby praised the youngster’s mindset, saying:
“He has a fantastic attitude for the game. He wants to learn, and I feel like we have some amazing role models for him here.”
The move is seen as an opportunity for Blacker to gain valuable experience while bolstering Tranmere’s attacking options for the season ahead.
